Superscript generator

Type or paste text and instantly convert supported characters to real Unicode superscripts you can copy and paste as plain text.

Unicode does not define a matching raised/lowered form for every character. Unsupported characters are left unchanged.

What this generator converts

Unicode includes superscript digits 0–9, operators such as +, − and =, parentheses, and many modifier letters that work as raised text. There is no Unicode superscript equivalent for every possible character, so SymbolDex does not invent visual substitutes.

When to use Unicode superscripts

They are useful in plain text, names, short exponents, references and platforms where rich formatting is unavailable. For complex scientific notation or accessible mathematics, MathML, LaTeX or the editor’s native formatting is usually a better fit.
